Sam Scott

Sam was born and raised in Western North Carolina. As a wee lad he worked as an intern at a local video production company, learning the ins and outs of the corporate video world. Then all throughout high school Sam honed his skills working his way up in the company to a full time Video Editor/Cinematographer position.

Now an efficient and skilled corporate/documentary editing machine and developing his love for good cinematography, Sam spent a year working full time editing and shooting high end corporate and documentary projects while learning how to satisfy the most demanding clients.

His obsessive passion for learning and practicing the art of cinematography getting the best of him, Sam attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Cinematography.

Let loose in the real world after four years of intensive training, Sam found his calling as a cinematographer and camera assistant working primarily in narrative and documentary.

Now with over nine years of experience in the industry, with his corporate video origins and traditional conservatory film school training, Sam has a remarkable blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and refined aesthetic and artistic sensibilities that he brings to every project.

He is currently based out of Atlanta, GA, and often travels to NC, SC, and VA to work with clients. He works as a Cinematographer for a variety of documentary and corporate projects, as a 1st AC and 2nd AC on countless narrative shorts, features, and commercials, and he is also a member of IATSE Local 600 as a Digital Utility.

Creating awesome content is what he loves to do, and Sam is always looking to collaborate with new clients to bring their creative visions to life!
